The Alpha School is an inclusive school where each child is valued as an individual and is encouraged to reach their full potential. Our Learning Support Team welcome children who have additional learning needs and develop individual plans to suit their requirements. For some, this will be a short-term plan to overcome a particular barrier, whilst for others there may be the need for ongoing support. Where children are identified, or have been assessed, as having an additional need, our team will work with the child, their parents and any outside agencies involved to develop an individual education plan (IEP). Wherever possible, we will support children to achieve within the classroom.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)As an international school, we understand that some of our children will speak little or no English when they join us. At The Alpha School, we celebrate this diversity, ensuring that, with support from our trained EAL team, all of our children will be able to access fully our curriculum, which is taught in English.

Gifted and Talented (G&T)G&T students are equally valued at The Alpha School, integrating ‘stretch and challenge’ strategies in the students’ learning experience. Coding is taught as part of the IT curriculum from Year 3 and STEM and STEAM

ECAs: Our Enrichment and Extension Programme offers a wide variety of externally provided activities by expert coaches as well as exciting activities internally provided by our wonderful staff.  The range of offerings are carefully selected and varied Termly for Year 1 to Year 6.  Sessions run from 2:45-3:30 PM Monday and Wednesday.

Accreditation: The Alpha School will be seeking BSO (British Schools Oversees) and BSME (British Schools Middle East) accreditation.

Pre-School Visits:  The Alpha School is open and the Principal Mrs Rachel Cashin welcomes visits by prospective parents and students. All are invited to The Alpha School OPEN DAY on 26th August 2017 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM to see our facilities, meet our staff and partake in a multitude of fun-filled activities. Salam Nursery was established in 1985 and operated out of a small villa near Al Ghurair Center. By 1988, Al Salam Private School was established with the opening of a KG section in a villa adjacent to the nursery. As the school expanded, the classes were extended to Year 3. The school grew rapidly and with the growth came a demand for more space. As a result, the nursery section was moved to Al Muteena Street. The school and nursery were then relocated to a new 4 villa complex in Hor Al Anz, opposite Hamriyah Park and extended to Year 6. By the Grace of Allah, in 2000 we started construction of our own building in Al Nahda 2 – Al Ghusais, that was to include the nursery, primary and secondary sections. We came to our present location in 2002 and continue to expand and grow for the better.

H. H. Shaikh Rashid Al Maktoum Pakistani School-Dubai (English Lang) was inspected by DSIB from 26 to 29 October 2015. The overall quality of education provided by the school was found to be weak. In order to judge the overall quality of education provided by the school, inspectors considered six key standards of performance. Inspectors looked at children’s attainment and progress in key subjects, their learning skills and their personal and social development.
